Injection Molding Materials for Commodity
PP
Polypropylene (PP), also known as polypropene, is a thermoplastic
polymer with resistance to moisture absorption and a very slippery
surface. It is a white, mechanically rugged material and has a high
chemical resistance. It also has excellent heat resistance and
plasticity and does not contain harmful substances. Due to these
properties, it is widely used in the production of commodity.
Polyethylene (PE)
Polyethylene(PE) is an economical and versatile plastic material with
excellent chemical resistance, electrical insulation, and low
temperature resistance. Being strong, lightweight, and resistant to
impact, it is helpful when moisture resistance and low cost are the
top priorities. It is one of the ideal materials for manufacturing
paint plastic buckets.
PVC
PVC is a popular thermoplastic polymer with excellent strength and
durability. It is resistant to environmental degradation, chemicals,
and alkalis. It also has properties like high impact strength, lower
tensile strength, ease of mold, lower temperature resistance, less
rigidness, less chemical resistance, etc. It is ideal for
manufacturing paint plastic buckets and pipe fittings.
Polycarbonate (PC)
Polycarbonate is a strong and transparent plastic with a low shrink,
good dimensional stability and excellent impact resistance. It works
well for transparent covers and housings. It also has low
scratch-resistance, and can hold up longer to extreme temperature.
ABS
ABS is a tough, impact-resistant plastic. Its favorable properties
also include high heat resistance, strength, durability, and low cost.
These make ABS a good choice when impact resistance, strength, and
stiffness are required. It is a versatile option used in the commodity
industry.
